Similar options as standard loan, with the following special features:
- applications may be made yearly, or total loan can be approved under one promissory note, but advanced annually over a specified number of years (for example: $15,000 loan approved with $5000 advanced per year over 3 years)
- Interest-only payments while enrolled in post-secondary education
- after graduation, interest-only payments allowed for a maximum of 6 months as "grace period"
- lower interest rate than standard loan rates
- parent or guardian must co-sign or guarantee the loan
- maximum loan amount is $10,000 per year over 4 years = $40,000
